Theresa Conti

Theresa Conti, 97, of E. Friendship Street, New Castle, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born April 1, 1918 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Peter and Consiglia (Buonafiglia) Natale. She was married to the late Angelo ‘Red’ Colella who died in 1958. She then married the late Bartholomew ‘Tony’ Conti who died in 1981. Mrs. Conti was a secretary at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home and St. Vitus Church for 10 years. She was a member of the Friendship Street Originals, Roundup and the Christian Mothers of St. Vitus Church. Theresa enjoyed boating, fishing, cooking and baking, especially wedding cookies. She also loved spending time with family and her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Constance DiMuccio and her husband James of New Castle, eight grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter Floreen Uram, her brother Carmen Natale, her sister Edith Bullano, and two great grandsons, Matthew Paolini and Shane McQuiston.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Larry Adams of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
