Miriam Lottie Russo

Miriam Lottie Russo, 91, of Avalon Nursing Home, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born May 29, 1917 in Hellertown, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Lawrence and Nora Sloyer. Mrs. Russo was a homemaker and actively involved in the former Mahoning School PTA when her children were young. In her later years she avidly supported Angels for Animals, reflecting her love for animals.

She is survived by one son, Lawrence Reinhart and his wife Bette of The Villages, FL, three daughters, Rebecca Russo of La Canada, CA, Lucinda Paxton of Miami, FL, and Patrice Morales and her husband Luis of Miami, FL, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Franklin Reinhart, her 2nd husband, Pasquale Russo, one brother, John Sloyer, and two sisters, Grace Bickford, and Eleanor Bollman.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 29, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel of the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home. Pastor Ray Hilton will be officiating.
