Ellen E. Hines

Ellen E. Hines, 70, of Warner Alley, New Castle, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born in New Castle on September 28, 1945, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Pearl) Hines. Ellen enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching and reading. She also loved writing letters for friends and family.
She is survived by one son, Brian E. Holzhauser of New Castle, and two granddaughters, Kalin Holzhauser and Caryssa Fiello.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenny Hines and one sister, Esther Kaneski.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
Blessing services will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 at 4:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Pierre Sodini will officiate.
