Clara Lois Moraldi, 90, of Charlotte Lane, New Castle, formerly of Hollow Road, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born March 8, 1925 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Palmieri) Zarilla. She was married to the late Rudolph ‘Rudy’ Moraldi who died July 2, 1997. Mrs. Moraldi was the manager of Greyhound Bus in New Castle retiring after 36 years. She was also co-owner and operator of Rudy's Halfway Inn. Clara was very active in the community and volunteering. She was secretary and treasurer of the Lawrence County Taverns Association for 36 years, a volunteer at the VA Medical Center in New Castle and was active in the Rotary Club. She was a member of the Red Hats, the American Legion Auxiliary and ITAM. Clara was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan and she enjoyed going to the casino.

She is survived by one daughter, Rudelle J. Francis and husband Mark of Penn Field, NY, four grandchildren, Adriene Alarcon, Natalie, Valerie and Domenick Francis and three great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Samuel A. Zona and four brothers, Peter ‘Turtle’, Ernie, Jimmy, and Albert ‘Zeke’ Zarilla.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 4PM to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Father Larry Adams of St. Joseph the Worker Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Entombment will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
