Pauline M. Ferruchie Thomas, 93, formerly of N. Ray St., New Castle, died Wednesday morning, March 29, 2006 at Kindred Hospital in Beaver, Pennsylvania. She was born January 17, 1913 in Wampum, Pennsylvania the daughter of James and Nellie (Armond) Ferruchie, they precede her in death. She was married to Anthony Thomas, who died December 17, 1973. Mrs. Thomas worked at the Shenango China in the clay shop for many years. She also worked as a cook at the Medical Center in New Castle for 8 years. She was a member of the Mary Mother of Hope Parish and enjoyed bowling, cooking and baking. She also loved flowers.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Phyllis Bongivengo and Patty Furillo both of New Castle, PA, 1 son, Tim Thomas of New Castle, PA, 2 brothers, Joe Ferruchie and James Ferruchie both of Ellwood City, PA, 1 sister, Ann Wolfe of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 2 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Johnny, Sylvester, and Thomas Ferruchie, and her sister Katherine Link.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Mary Church. Father Victor J. Molka, Jr. of Mary Mother of Hope Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
