Delores B. Rubeis, 87, of East Division Street, died Friday, April 15, 2016 at her home in New Castle. She was born September 16, 1928 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Domenick and Rose (Frank) Palmer. She was married to the late Richard E. Rubeis who died May 8, 2007. Mrs. Rubeis formerly worked at Shenango China and was a crossing guard for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed watching the wild life in her back yard. She was a fantastic mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by three children, Patty Marcella and husband James ‘Chico’ of Statesville, NC, Richard Rubeis and wife Linda of Erie, and Ramona Burick and husband David of New Castle, one brother, Domenick Palmer, Jr. of Frederick, MD, one sister, Rosemarie Cozza of New Castle, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Randall Rubeis, four brothers, Toby, Andy, James, and Charles Palmer, and one sister, Maggie Best.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 4 PM to 7 PM.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Richard Rubeis, son of Delores, of East Lake Road Alliance Church will be officiating. Entombment will be in the Parkside Cemetery.
