Brant E. Buchanan, Sr., 69, South Center Street, Grove City, PA died May 7, 2016 at Grove City Medical Center in Grove City. He was born August 23, 1946 in New Castle, the son of the late Howard and Minnie (Carnes) Buchanan. He was married to Betty (Klingensmith) Buchanan who survives in New Castle. Mr. Buchanan worked to Pennsylvania Engineering as a Class A Structural Fitter for 11 years. He also worked as a power liner in Oklahoma for 3 years. He was an Auxiliary New Castle Police Officer for 11 years. Mr. Buchanan enjoyed locksmithing, hunting, fishing, handyman work, and looking for gold. He loved being around and helping people.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three children, Brant E. Buchanan, Jr. and wife Tina of Ellwood City, Gwendolyn Buchanan of Beaver Falls, and Jeanine Buchanan of Grove City, four step-children, Timothy Gramsky of Midlothian, VA, Edward Gramsky of Uba, CA, Audrey Clow and husband Carmen of New Middletown, OH and Lori Fennell and husband Alvin of Mayport, PA, two sister, Carol Buchanan of Kittanning, PA and Cornelia Hobrat of New Castle, sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wendel, Clarence and Howard Buchanan and four sisters, Bernice Kennedy, Frances Heathcok, Glenna Wiener and Marylyn Clendenning.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
