Duane E. Boland

Duane E. Boland, 68, of E. Main St., New Castle, died Saturday, May 16, 2009 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born March 8, 1941 in Oil City, Pennsylvania a son of the late Gertrude (Dolby) Hart. He was married to Rose N. (Maggi) Boland, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Boland was a member of Hoover Heights Church and was a truck driver for Guy Shoup Trucking in Emlenton, PA for many years. He was a Marine veteran serving stateside and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Anne Sholey of New Castle, two sisters, Margaret ‘Peg’ Roberts of New Castle, and Maxine Barr of Twinsburg, OH and a number of step-daughters and step-sons..

He was preceded in death by, his step-father Paul Hart, his 1st wife Joan (Pecore) Boland, his daughter Tina Louise Boland, two brothers, Edward & Bobby Hart, and two sisters, Esther Porter, and Patricia Sporer.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 12:00 noon at St. Lucy Cemetery. Pastor Larry Llewellyn of Hoover Heights Church will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Lucy Cemetery. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform a Military Funeral Service at the Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
