Charles Shoaff, 84, of W. North St., died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Edison Manor Nursing Home. He was born May 17, 1925 in New Castle, the son of the late Charles and Christina (Stewart) Shoaff. He married Sylvia M. (Moore) Shoaff on August 20, 1947, she survives. Mr. Shoaf was a milk delivery driver for Linger Light Dairy for 25 years. He was a member of the Shenango Christian Church and enjoyed fishing, collecting hats, and owning and fixing 1957 Chevys. Mr. Shoaf was a Navy veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theatre.
He is survived by, four sons, Charles ‘Doug’ Shoaff and his wife Carol of Wheeling, WV, Thomas J. Shoaff and his wife Anna of Bessemer, Daniel M. Shoaff and his wife Renee, and Scott S. Shoaff, both of New Castle, one sister, Betty Hutchenrider of San Antonio, TX, thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. James Equels, Minister will be officiating. Burial will be in the Parkside Cemetery.
