Helen M. D'Augustine

Helen M. D'Augustine, 91, Loraine Ave., died Monday, June 1, 2009 at Baylor Grapevine Hospital in Grapevine, Texas. She was born May 29, 1918 in Hillsville, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Monaco) DeChristoforo. She was married to Alfred D’Augustine who died on June 21, 1988. Mrs. D'Augustine retired from the Johnson Bronze after over 40 years as an inspector and a machine operator. She was a member of the Church of Genesis and was very active in the church. She was an avid reader and volunteered at the New Castle Public Library and also at Challenges. Mrs. D'Augustine was a huge football fan and a New Castle High School football season ticket holder for over 70 years, she was also a Steelers Fan

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Louie, Domenick, and Victor DeChristoforo, and Paul Fioravanti, and three sisters, Viola Searfoss, Jennie Ferrante, and Annie Samiac.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 8, 2009 at 11:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Louis LaGatta of Caleb International Ministries and Pastor Ron Eade of Church of Genesis will be officiating. Entombment will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
