Sarah Jean Williams, 66, of N. Cedar St., died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Sharon Regional Hospital. She was born May 28, 1943 in New Castle, a daughter of the late James and H. Virginia (McCready) Bright. She married John E. Williams on December 1, 1973, he survives. Mrs. Williams was a receptionist at Edison Manor Nursing Home for 10 years. Prior to that she was the Secretary for Foreign Missions at Elim Bible Institute in upstate New York for 8 years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and was involved with the Bill Glass Prison Ministry. Mrs. Williams enjoyed to sew and make crafts and was owner and operator of Sarah's Creations. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by, one daughter, Kirsta Sadler of New Castle, one son, John C. Williams and his wife Rita of New Castle, one brother, James Bright of New Castle, three sisters, Mary Houk of St. Petersburg, FL, Karen Hudson of Anaheim, CA, and Janet McKibben of New Castle, and three grandchildren, David Sadler and Austin and Nathan Duffee.
Visitation will be held at the First Assembly of God Church, 2021 Pulaski Rd., on Monday, June 8, 2009 from 5 pm to 8 pm and on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 10 am to12 noon.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 12:00 noon at First Assembly of God Church. Pastor Kenneth Meyer of First Assembly of God will be officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
