Dorothy M. Brice

Dorothy M. Brice: 79 of North Croton Avenue, New Castle, PA. left this mortal world to be with her Lord and Savior on July 24, 2016,while at her residence. She was born on April 14, 1937 in Kittanning, PA. She was a daughter of the late Walter Brice and Charlie (Jones) Brice.
Mrs. Brice was a college graduate with a degree in Business Management, and was on the Dean’s List numerous times. Dorothy worked and Retired from the New Castle Transit Authority as a scheduler. She also was very involved with her community and the following organizations. Child care at the Y.M.C.A., intake worker at Social Services, she was involved with Green Thumb, New Castle unit of the American Cancer Society, Contact E.A.R.S., She was also director of the Daughters of the rules of the Elks Club in New Kensington, KEN-TON-ION Temple #631 in New Kensington, and the ALPHA Council #1 in Pittsburgh. She was an avid Steeler fan, and enjoyed spending time with her family, and her host of friends.
Mrs. Brice is survived by 4 daughters, and 3 sons, Michael Savannah of Avonmore, PA., Kevin Stevenson of Litchfield, AZ., Erma Headen, and Patricia (Miller) Brown, both of New Castle, Siobhan D’Abrosi and Randolph Miller both of New Castle, and Sharlice Park of Washington, PA. She is also survived by 6 sisters, Odessa Times, of Penn Hills, PA., Priscilla Banks, of Barstow, CA. Blanche Pearson of New Kensington, PA., Karen Smith of Fayetteville, NC. , Anita Guy of Sophia, WV., Elizabeth Romero of Barstow, CA. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday August 1, 2016, from 11AM to 1PM at St. Paul Baptist Church, 616 West North Street, New Castle. Funeral Service will be conducted at 1PM, by Pastor Robert Mills at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
