Myrtle Reed Mariacher

Myrtle Reed Mariacher, 87, of Golden Hill Nursing Home, formerly of Adams Street, New Castle, died Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born January 26, 1929 in New Castle, a daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Zeigler) Reed. She was married to the late William R. Mariacher who died February 17, 1997. Mrs. Mariacher was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church and she enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by two children, George Mariacher and wife Connie and Marianne Pia, all of New Castle, one brother, Donald Reed of Sharon, four grandchildren, Aaryn Noelle Mariacher, Zachary George Mariacher, Melissa Marie DoVidio, and Julianne Pia.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, George, William and Merle Reed, and seven sisters, Gladys Swartz, Edna Mae Pollock, Annetta Hoover, Helen Walthour, Nellie Huff, Maude Gall, and Harriet Waddington.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 4 PM to 8 PM and on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 10 AM to 11 AM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Donald Reed will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
