Betty K. Patton

Betty K. Patton, 90, formerly of Rose Point Harlansburg Road, New Castle, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born August 31, 1925 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Clare and Lola (Harper) Kerr. She was married to James W. Patton, Jr. on December 3, 1968, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Patton was an operator and worked in the parts warehouse for Bell Telephone retiring after 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, bird watching and taking care of her dogs and cats. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two children, Darleen Rizzo and husband Ron of New Castle, and Larry Cover of El Dorado Hills, CA, three step-daughters, Melodie Cox of Ellwood City, Joy Jewell of Beaver Falls, and Deanna Frankel of Ocean City, NJ and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her step-son James W. Patton, III.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 10 AM to 12 Noon.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 2, 2016 at 12:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jarod Mills of Clifton Flats Alliance Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Parkside Cemetery.
