Stella M. Valentino

Stella M. Valentino, 89, of Atlantic Avenue, New Castle, died Friday, September 16, 2016 at her residence in New Castle. She was born June 20, 1927 a daughter of the late Pasquale and Margarita (Lombardo) DeLuca. She was married to the late James E. Valentino who died February 15, 1999. Mrs. Valentino was very active at the Ladies of the Dukes and cooked there for 17 years. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her friends and family and spoiling her granddaughter Gina.
She is survived by one son, James J. Valentino and his wife Renee of Chantilly, VA, one granddaughter, Gina Valentino, and two sisters, Norma Farrare and Alba Nativio both of New Castle.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony DeLuca, and six sisters, Florence Cutlip, Mary Liverani, Flora Ambrose, Rose Pelini, Edna Christopher and Fernanda Leone.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
