Catherine Ponziani

Catherine Ponziani, 98, of Redbird Lane, Edinburg, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at her home in Edinburg. She was born April 2, 1918 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Rocco and Rose (Marshall) Tiratto. Mrs. Ponziani was a cook at Carlo's Pizza Shop in Bessemer for over 30 years. She loved her work and cooking.
She is survived by two children, Dolores Young of Edinburg, and Robert Ponziani and his wife Casi of Enon Valley, PA, two brothers, Phillip Toratto of Lowellville, OH, and Samuel Tiratto of Edinburg, PA, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ponziani, four brothers, Alfonso, Benjamin, and Joseph Tiratto, and Rocco Sainato, and one sister, Lena Tiratto.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
