Walter J. Joseph

Walter J. Joseph, 56, of Syling St., died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at his home in New Castle. He was born September 26, 1952 in Sharon, a son of the late Walter and Olive (Pow) Joseph. He married Jean A. (Taylor) Joseph on February 23, 1980, she survives. Mr. Joseph was a carpenter for Local #268 for 22 years. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Eagles Club and the American Legion. Mr. Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
He is survived by four daughters, Jennifer J. Jackson and her husband Alfred of New Castle, Sharlee L. Thomas and her husband Casper of Pulaski, PA, and Chrissy and Shalon Jones both of Illinois, one brother, Frank Joseph of New Castle, one sister, June Black of Mt. Jackson, and eleven grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Monday, July 20, 2009 from 1 pm to 3 pm & 5 pm to 7 pm.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Charles Llewellyn of Sheppard’s Lighthouse will be officiating. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites and the funeral home.
