Alvin A. Johnson

Alvin A. Johnson, 53, of Galbreath Street, New Castle, died Friday, November 4, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Warren, OH on March 2, 1963 a son of the late Alfonso and Pauline (Ellis) Johnson. He was married to Tammie R. (Robertson) Johnson on April 12, 2004 she survives in New Castle. Mr. Johnson was a nurses’ aide at St. Francis Hospital and Golden Hill Nursing Home for 30 years. He was an Army veteran and an avid sports fan, especially football and the Dallas Cowboys. Alvin loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and he loved helping and being with people.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Lashawn Foreback of Warren, OH, three step-children, Amanda Gardner and husband Michael of New Castle, Ronald Keller and wife Mikayla of New Castle and James Keller of New Castle, one sister, Irene Johnson of Minolita, NJ and thirteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Johnson.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 4 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Richard Rue of Union Baptist Church will officiate.
