Donald J. Micco

Donald J. Micco, 67, of Upper Idlewild Dr., formerly of Mesa, AZ for many years, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Butler Veterans Medical Center in Butler. He was born March 1, 1942 in New Castle, a son of the late Domenick Micco and Lucy (Padula) Micco Tranquillo who survives in New Castle. Mr. Micco was an auto mechanic and service station manager for over 30 years in California, Nevada and Arizona. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era serving in Europe. Mr. Micco enjoyed hunting, fishing, old cars, collecting old bottles and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his step-father, Sam Tranquillo, one daughter, April Marie Hetzel, of Tennessee, four brothers, Robert Micco of Goodyear, AZ, Anthony Micco of New Castle, Domenick Micco of Sydney, OH, and Gerald Micco of Gibsonia, PA, two grandchildren, Natasha and Aiden Hetzel and a number of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friend and companion, Bonnie Guy, who helped him in so many ways during his final months.
