Peggy M. Mccormick

Peggy M. McCormick, 81, of Center Church Road, New Castle, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born in New Castle April 20, 1935 a daughter of the late Scott and Sylvia (Bookemer) McLaren. She was married to the late Clyde J. McCormick who died September 15, 1993. Mrs. McCormick was a nurses’ aide at Golden Hill Nursing Home and Carriage Personal Care Home for 15 years. She enjoyed sewing and making crafts, reading and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Joseph C. McCormick of Wampum, Nancy J. Smith and Grant of New Castle, Donald B. McCormick and Charla of New Castle and Christine L. Nail and Rick of New Castle, one brother, John McLaren of New Castle, three sisters, Helen Thompson of New Castle, Betty Guyer of New Castle and Doris McCune of New Castle, twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Matt, James and Dave McLaren and two sisters, Irene Guyer and Dorothy Bohizic.

Friends will be received Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 6 PM to 7 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 7 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Michael Nail will officiate. Burial will be in Sts. Phillip and James Cemetery.
