Jacqueline S. Peters

Jacqueline S. Peters, 55, of E. Long Avenue, New Castle, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born October 27, 1961 in Ellwood City, a daughter of the late George J. and Mary Ruth (Hawkins) Makepeace. She was married to Eric L. Peters on August 28, 1992, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Peters worked in housekeeping at Golden Hill Nursing Home, prior to that she was a server at Hoss's Steakhouse for 12 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking and decorating cakes. She also enjoyed gardening and taking care of her grandson and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three children, Melissa M. Ashour of New Castle, Erica C. Peters of Goose Creek, SC, and Judd M. Peters of New Castle, four brothers, James Yohe of West Virginia, Jeff Spare of Erie, George Makepeace of Ellwood City, and Kenneth Vincent Queen of New Castle, three sisters, Sharon Makepeace of New Castle, Debra Voland of New Castle, and Goldie Homner of New Castle, and one grandson, Kobe A. Artis.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Yohe and Charles Queen, and one sister, Robin Carlin.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Shenango Presbyterian Church, 3144 Wilmington Road, New Castle. Rev. Amy Na will officiate. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
