Kenneth D. Defiore, Sr.

Kenneth D. DeFiore, Sr., 85, of Riverside Apartments, New Castle, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. He was born May 24, 1931 in New Castle, the son of the late David and Elsie (Massaro) DeFiore. He was married to the late Antoinette (Sibeto) DeFiore who died October 24, 2002. Mr. DeFiore was a foreman at Youngstown Sheet and Tube retiring after 34 years. He then worked for Lawrence County Human Services in maintenance for 13 years. Mr. DeFiore enjoyed cooking and watching sports and football and was an avid Steelers fan. He also loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by four sons, David DeFiore and wife Renee of New Castle, Fred DeFiore and wife Kay of Aurora, CO, Kenneth DeFiore, Jr. of New Castle, and Paul DeFiore of New Castle, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sondra Schmutzer, and Cleo DeFiore.
Private funeral services will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
