Elaine C. Callahan, 70, of Spruce Street, New Castle, died Monday, January 23, 2017 at her home in New Castle. She was born November 30, 1946 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Lumley) Black. Mrs. Callahan loved her cats and feeding birds and squirrels in her yard, she also loved doing yard work.
She is survived by three children, Sharon E. Houston, Edward D. Callahan, and Brian J. Callahan, all of New Castle, one brother, Norman Black of New Castle, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
