Elaine M. Mally

Elaine M. Mally, 77, of Meadowview Blvd., New Castle, died Monday, January 30, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born February 26, 1939 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Anthony and Alda (Gione) Ryan. She was married to her loving husband, Kent R. Mally on January 16, 1987, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Mally was a manager for Avon for 10 years. She loved her faith and the Lord and was very active in her churches everywhere she lived. She worked for the Sisters of the Poor in Delaware and volunteered with Catholic Charities and other Catholic organizations, especially St. Clements Church in Plant City, FL, where she lived for a time. Mrs. Mally loved to cook and surprise people with all her foods and she enjoyed gardening and singing.

In addition to her husband she is survived by four children, Valerie L. Sansone Stevenson of New Castle, Toni C. Sansone Ullrich of New Castle, Leslie A. Sansone Bullano and her husband Joseph of New Castle, and John J. Sansone and his wife Mirella of New Castle, five step children, one brother, Albert Ryan of New Castle, one sister, Marlene Wheatley of Copley, OH, nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony Ryan, Jr. and Daniel Ryan, and one sister, Delores Ryan.

A private funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Vitus Church. Father Joe Luisi of North American Martyrs Church of Monroeville, PA officiate. Burial is in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
