Bernadette A. 'Bernie' Adamo

Bernadette ‘Bernie’ Ann Adamo, 55, of Martha St., died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born April 8, 1954 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Ponzi) Marino. She married Richard S. Adamo on April 24, 1982, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Adamo worked in the deli of WalMart for 14 years. She was a member of Mary Mother of Hope Parish and enjoyed camping and the outdoors, doing needlework and collecting bears. Mrs. Adamo loved spending time and will be sadly missed by her dog Mandy.

She is survived by, one brother, Casey T. Marino of New Castle, two sisters, Irene M. Yanul and her husband Joseph of Cleveland, OH, and Cassandra M. Adamo and her husband Kenneth of New Castle, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 9:00 am at Mary Mother of Hope Church. Father Victor J. Molka, Jr. of Mary Mother of Hope Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 am. Burial will be in the Parkside Cemetery.
