Leta M. Pherson

Leta M. Pherson, 77, of Golden Hill Nursing Home, died Monday afternoon, May 8, 2006 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born November 20, 1928 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the daughter of Paul and Theresa (Valentino) Fazzone. She was married to Donald M. Pherson, who died on May 24, 1968. Mrs. Pherson worked at the Shenango China as a sprayer for 16 years. She then worked at the Women’s Shelter for 4 years and the Adult Literacy Center for 2 years as a secretary. She was a hard worker and enjoyed her pets.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Pherson Owens of West Pittsburg, PA, her borther, Paul Fazzone of New Castle, PA, her grandson, Christopher Pherson, and 2 great grandchildren, Alexander Pherson and Emma Pherson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Robert Pherson.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
