Richard Gentile

Richard Gentile, 82, of West Elizabeth Avenue, Neshannock Twp., died Friday, April 7, 2017 at his home in New Castle. He was born May 18, 1934 in New Castle, the son of the late Mary (Gentile) Doss. He was married to Nancy D. (Siergiej) on November 11, 1954, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Gentile proudly served in the Military from 1957 to 1958. He was known to all as a hard worker and a talented problem solver who took joy in helping others.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three children, Kim R. Gentile of New Castle, Richard Greg Gentile and wife Tracy of Butler, and Dana L. McGuirk of New Castle, four grandchildren, Gretchen Oberfeitinger, Hannah Hogue and husband Doug, James Oberfeitinger, and Devin McGuirk and one great grandson, Braxton Houge.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerome and Garnet Gentile.
In accordance with his wishes there will be a private family only Mass. If desired donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
