Virginia T. Malandro

Virginia T. Malandro, 79, of W. Fairmont St., died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was born October 3, 1929 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Alphonso and Nicoletta (Conti) Jannetti. She was married to John Malandro who died on October 20, 1982. Mrs. Malandro was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and gambling and going to Mountaineer.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy L. Wimer and Christine A. Doran, both of New Castle, two sons, John S. Malandro of Corpus Christi, TX, and Gary J. Malandro of Colorado Springs, CO, five sisters, Norma Langiotti of Greenville, PA, Dolores Fiello of Oak Hill, FL, Evelyn Smith, Louise Galmarini, and Shirley Jannetti all of New Castle, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother Frank ‘Buster’ Jannetti.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Monday, September 7, 2009 from 4 pm to 7 pm.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 7, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Douglas Hughes of Third Presbyterian Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
