Velma Mae(Kelly)Albert, 88, of East Lutton Street, New Castle, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in Newark, DE. She was born in New Kensington, PA on April 12, 1929, a daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Coury) Kelly.

Velma Mae (Kelly) Albert was a beloved daughter, wife and mother. She was cherished and adored by her grandchildren. Her family was the most important focus in her life. There is nothing she enjoyed more than her family surrounding her at the kitchen table cooking their favorite foods, playing cards and laughing together. Velma lived her life to the fullest and was the life of the party in the not too distant past. She loved to spend time with her husband, and their many friends, traveling, dancing, singing and having fun.

Velma loved her family and friends unconditionally, supported without judgement and had faith in all of their adventures. Her sacrifices are immeasurable.

She passed peacefully listening to the soothing sounds of her favorite singer and "Baby Doll", Frank Sinatra. Her passing leaves a heartache no one can heal. Her family will find comfort remembering what she has taught them, how she has loved them, sacrifices she has made for them and bonds formed that can never be broken. She is at peace and reunited with her precious daughters and husband of 66 years.

Forever.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia (Albert) Guerrieri and her husband James, one sister, Madeline Kelly, nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Albert, whom she married on May 30, 1951, two daughers, Kathleen (Albert) Cuscino, and Georgeen (Albert) Gallucci, one brother, Fred Kelly, and three sisters, Edna (Kelly) Albert, Eleanor Kelly, and Doris (Kelly) Pegnato.
