Mary Ellen Ferrell

Mary Ellen Ferrell, 70, of Cambridge Street, died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born September 25, 1939 in New Castle, a daughter of the late John and Ellen (Dahlberg) Campbell. Mrs. Ferrell worked in underwriting for Liberty Mutual retiring after 38 years. She also volunteered at Lawrence County Tourism and was a member of Challenges. Mrs. Ferrell was an Elvis Presley fan and love dining out and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel C. Ferrell, and James L. Ferrell, both of New Castle, four grandchildren, Jon, Elaina, Ella, and Max Ferrell, and one sister, Betty Kay Womer of Warren, OH.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Thursday, October 15, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 8:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
