George Bobby, 79, of Pin Oak Drive, died Friday, December 18, 2009 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. He was born May 5, 1930 in Butler, Pennsylvania a son of the late Pete and Ann (Kalpiac) Bobby. Mr. Bobby worked on the assembly line at Rockwell International retiring after 24 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War Era serving on the USS Sea Boney CV112 in the Atlantic. Mr. Bobby was a member of the American Legion Post 778 and the VFW Post 249 in Butler. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by three daughters, twins, Mary Ann Tomsky and her friend Randy Shropshire, and Marcia Strizzi, both of New Castle, and Linda August of Cincinnati, OH and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Michael, Steven, John, Paul, and Martin Bobby, two sisters, Mary Scrazzo, and Helen Sciulli, and one grandson.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 12:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jeremy Teal, a relative of the deceased will be officiating. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
