Thelma D. Stiles

Thelma D. Stiles, 73, of 10 Lower Idlewild Dr., New Castle, died Sunday evening, July 2, 2006 at her home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born September 1, 1932 in Hastings, Pennsylvania the daughter of Dorse and Lena (Boring) Shaffer. Her parents precede her in death. Mrs. Stiles was married to Homer Stiles for 54 years, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Stiles was the housekeeping supervisor at Golden Hill Nursing Home for 23 years. She enjoyed dancing, music and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by, 2 sons, Dennis Stiles of New Castle, PA, Ronald Stiles and his fiancé, Darlene Minteer of New Castle, PA, 2 sisters, Theda Spicher of Maryville, WA, and Shirley Lyons of Gasport, NY, 5 grandchildren, Sgt. Ron Stiles, Jr. of Ft. Irwin, CA, Christopher Stiles, Jennifer Quigley, Cherilyn Stiles and Britani Stafford all of New Castle, and 2 great grandchildren, Peyton and Logan Quigley both of New Castle and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Raleigh Shaffer, Robert Shaffer, James Shaffer, and George Shaffer, and 3 sisters, Elma Shaffer her twin who died at birth, Ruth Cook, and Dorothy Wagner.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 4, 2006 from 5-8 pm.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 11:30 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating.
