Herbert Miles Mann, Sr.

Herbert Miles Mann, Sr., 87, of Edison Manor, formerly of Oakwood Way, Neshannock Twp., died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Edison Manor Nursing Home in New Castle. He was born September 17, 1922 in Potter Brook, Pennsylvania a son of the late Isaac and Grace (Frazier) Mann. He was married to Louise E. (Strawniak) Mann who died in 2002. Mr. Mann was a master welder at United Engineering and Youngstown Sheet and Tube. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving with the 1539th Service Unit. Mr. Mann was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He is survived by two sons, Herbert H. Mann, Jr. and his wife Janet of Pittsburgh, and David G. Mann and his wife Anita of New Castle, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Lou Campbell, two brothers, Stanley and Roland Mann, and two sisters, Lois Mann and Marietta Blackwell.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp officiated. Burial will be in the Oak Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
