Ruth A. Stoner

Ruth A. Stoner, 72, of Service Street, Shenango Township, died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 21, 1937 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Martin) Lutz. She was married to Belfiore A. ‘Bill’ Stoner who died on May 17, 2008. Mrs. Stoner was a receptionist for Dr. Silpachai Sirapong retiring after 10 years. She also worked at Miller's Shoe Store for many years. Mrs. Stoner was a member of St. Vitus Church and the Red Hat Society and enjoyed cooking and family gatherings.

She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth DeSalvo and her husband Dave of New Castle, two sons, Kenneth W. Stoner and his wife Beth of Sarasota, FL, and William R. Stoner and his wife Christina of New Castle, six grandchildren, Kenneth Stoner, Jr., Michael Stoner, Erika DeSalvo, Jessika DeSalvo, Perry Stoner, and Lorelei Stoner, one brother, Ronald Conti of New Castle, and one sister, Lori Cheatham of Oakland, CA.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Monday, February 8, 2010 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 11:00 am at St. Vitus Church. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
