Dolores L. Ferrante

Dolores L. Ferrante, 80, of E. Edgewood Avenue, died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was born February 6, 1930 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Dominick and Clara (Montonaro) Genovese. She married Roger R. Ferrante in 1953, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Ferrante was a secretary and cafeteria manager at Shenango High School retiring after 20 years. She was a member of St. Vitus Church and Christian Mothers. Mrs. Ferrante was a volunteer at Jameson Hospital at the reception desk and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Annette Cannon and her husband Keith of West Pittsburg, Regina Marks and her husband Joseph of New Wilmington, and Carmela Glass and her husband Brian of New Castle, two sons, Roger D. Ferrante and his wife Victoria of Boardman, OH, and Douglas Ferrante and his wife Joan of Atlanta, GA, twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one step grandchild and three step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Roger A. Ferrante, one sister, Concelia Genovese, and one grandson, Vincent Ferrante.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from 11 am to 1 pm.

Blessing services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 12:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Entombment will be in the Parkside Cemetery.
