Arthur J. ‘Jack’ Lewis, 73, of 192 Sunnyside RD, New Castle, died Tuesday evening, August 1, 2006 at Edison Manor Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born April 28, 1933 in Great Belt, Pennsylvania the son of William and Catherine (Osche) Lewis, his parents precede him in death. He was married to June J. (Martello) Lewis on October 2, 1965, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Lewis was a member of the Mary Mother of Hope Parish and an usher at the church. He worked as an assistant manager for Loblaws Grocery in New Castle for 20 years, then was a driver for Snyder's of Berlin for 8 years. Mr. Lewis was an avid golfer and baseball fan and loved animals. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was devoted to his church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by, 1 daughter, Mrs. Jeff (Tammy) Badger of New Castle, PA, 1 grandson, Aidan Badger of New Castle, PA, and 2 sisters, Gertrude Stutz and Josephine Hesidenz both of Butler, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, 3 brothers, Harry, Howard, and Nick Lewis, and 2 sisters, Mary Elizabeth Eyth and Loretta Sleigher.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday, August 3, 2006 from 5-8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 4, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at Mary Mother of Hope Church. Father Victor J. Molka, Jr. of Mary Mother of Hope Church will be officiating. A Funeral Procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
