Patrick James ‘PJ’ Kline, 50, of Kerr Street, Shenango Township, went home to his Heavenly Father, Monday, February 22, 2010, after a thirty year battle with alcoholism. He fought hard the last year to beat the disease, but in the end lost his battle. He passed away at Jameson Memorial Hospital with his family and loved ones at his side with his last breath. He was born July 8, 1959 in New Castle, a son of Robert L. and Donna (Clinger) Kline. His parents survive in Edinburg. ‘PJ’ graduated from Mohawk High School and was a self taught computer programmer. He worked for PRC in Dulles, VA as the Lead Electronic Technician for eight years. He also worked for the County of Butler as a computer tech for three years. ‘PJ’ loved hunting and fishing, watching the Steelers with his brother, mom, and dad, and watching NASCAR with his niece and sister. He loved his family dearly and they loved him with all their hearts. He will be missed, but with joy we know he is in a better place.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Kacie Kline of Boston, MA, and one son and one daughter of Bessemer, one brother, Jeff A. Kline of Edinburg, five sisters, Cindy D. McGowan and her husband Jim of Portersville, Linda S. Gearheart and her husband Sonny of Reynoldsville, PA, Kelly A. Fulcher and her husband Junior of Loganville, GA, Tracy L. Kline of Edinburg, and Jodi R. Allison and her husband Jim of Edinburg, and fourteen nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death and meeting him in Heaven are, his brother, Robert P. Kline, and grandparents, Robert and Mabel Kline, and Philip and Alberta Clinger..
His family will receive guests at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 2 pm to 3 pm.
Blessing services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 3:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father James Downs of Christ the King Parish will be officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Callensburg, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to: Jameson Hospice, 1000 S. Mercer Street, New Castle, PA 16101.
