Pete A. D'Ambrosi, Sr.

Pete A. D'Ambrosi, 78, of 719 Cleveland Ave., New Castle, died Saturday evening, August 12, 2006 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born March 27, 1928 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a son of Salvatore and Philomena (Vitale) D'Ambrosi. His parents precede him in death. He married Theda (Daufen) D’Ambrosi on May 22, 1952, she survives in New Castle. Mr. D'Ambrosi was a machinist at the Johnson Bronze retiring after many years. He was a Navy veteran serving in Japan. Mr. D'Ambrosi was a member of the Eagles Club #455, Moose Lodge #51 and the AMVETS.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by, 2 sons, Sam D'Ambrosi and his wife Debbie of New Castle, PA and Donald D'Ambrosi and his wife Siobhan of New Castle, PA, 1 daughter, Mrs. Ronaldo (Linda) Caimano of Boardman, OH, 2 brothers, Samuel D'Ambrosi of Hubbard, OH and Bernard D'Ambrosi of Cleveland, OH, 1 sister, Ora Pecarro of Ft. Mill, SC, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Pete D'Ambrosi, 2 brothers, Anthony D'Ambrosi and Reggie D'Ambrosi, 3 sisters, Rosalene Frabotta, Jacqueline Conti and Sally Colaluca.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 from 5 to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform a Military Funeral Service at the cemetery.
