Sophie Murdock

Sophie Murdock, 88, of 508 Butz St., New Castle, died Saturday afternoon, August 12, 2006 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born September 4, 1917 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of Boleslaw and Marianna (Dubowicz) Kazenski. She was married to Ralph E. Murdock who died in 1991. Mrs. Murdock was a homemaker and a member of the Croton Methodist Church. She also was a seamstress and loved sewing for friends and family. Mrs. Murdock was an avid reader and enjoyed working puzzles.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. Sam (Nancy) Argiro of New Castle, PA, 1 son, Tom Murdock and his wife Julie of Kingwood, TX and 5 grandchildren, Greg Argiro and his wife Stephanie, Stacie Argiro, Danney Argiro, Jennifer Murdock and Natalie Murdock.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Stanley Kazenski and William Kazenski, and 3 sisters, Jean Kazenski, Josephine Peebles, and Anna Hervatin.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Monday, August 14, 2006 from 7 to 9 PM .

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. William Green of Croton Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
