Robert A. ‘Tim’ Gales, 52, of McKim Road, North Beaver Township, died Monday, March 15, 2010 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. He was born June 2, 1957 in New Castle, a son of the late Wes and Ruth (Hershberger) Gales. He married Julie Ann (Magno) Gales on December 30, 1975, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Gales was a heavy equipment operator, working out of Union Local #66 Operating Engineers, Lindey Paving, Cioffi Construction, and Romano Bros. Paving. He was a member of the K Pulaski Club, Johnson Club, and the Bessemer Croation Club. Mr. Gales enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and was an avid golfer and a member of the West Side Golf League, and was founder of Gales Gone Wild Golf Outing.
He is also survived by, one daughter, Casey L. Ambuster of New Castle, one brother, Tom Gales of New Castle, and two sisters, Carol Barker of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Barbara Hiller of Florida.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 11:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Pete Squillo, cousin of the deceased, will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Cemetery.
