Stacy C. Verdi

Stacy C. Verdi, 42, of Walnut Street, Bessemer, died Friday, March 26, 2010 at her home in Bessemer. She was born May 7, 1967 in Cleveland, Ohio a daughter of the late Dr. A. DeWitt Morrow and Carol (Collingwood) Morrow Coyne. Her mother survives in Bluffton, SC. She married Gerald J. ‘Jerry’ Verdi, Jr. on September 3, 1988, he survives in Bessemer. Mrs. Verdi was a secretary and worked in the Birthing Unit at St. Francis Hospital for 12 years. She enjoyed going to car shows and had a classic 1969 Buick Skylark, which she won many awards with. She was an avid Steelers fan and NASCAR fan.

She is also survived by, one daughter, Renee M. Verdi, and one son, Jacob D. Verdi, both of Bessemer, two sisters, Marilee Morrow and her husband Will Hampton of Marietta, OH, and Maureen McCormack and her husband David of Raleigh, NC, and her father and mother-in-law, Gerald J. Verdi, Sr. and Mary Anne (Capozzoli) Verdi of New Castle.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. Rev. Victor Brown and Rev. Molly Brown will be officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made the them for Stacy’s children.
