David M. Wimer

David M. Wimer, 82, of Harmony Baptist Road, Shenango Township, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Haven Nursing Home in New Castle. He was born August 8, 1927 in Princeton, Pennsylvania a son of the late Howard and Margaret (Harlan) Wimer. He married Norma J. (Kennedy) Wimer on September 2, 1950, she survives in Shenango Twp. Mr. Wimer was a truck driver retiring after 31 years from Russell Trucking. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in Japan. Mr. Wimer was also a member of the Teamsters Local 261 and the Castlewood Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
He is survived by two sons, Fred M. Wimer of Johnstown, PA, and David N. Wimer of New Castle, five grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, James H. Wimer.
A private funeral service will be held at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. James O'Hara will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
