Daniel Constantino Panella, 95, of Castle Street, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at his home in New Castle. He was born October 10, 1914 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania the son of the late Ralph and Martha (Cefone) Panella. He was married to Mary E. (Mangine) Panella who died on February 2, 1994. Mr. Panella was a welder for Blawknox in Ellwood City retiring after 20 years. He also worked at United, Johnson Bronze, and Mesta. After he retired he worked at Airway Luggage. Mr. Panella was a World War II veteran of the Army. He loved welding and to work, he enjoyed gardening and to invent and tinker with machinery.

He is survived by two daughters, Martha June Moore and her husband James, and Diane L. Walczak and her husband Richard of New Castle, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Benny, and Charles Panella, and four sisters, Josephine Izzo, Anne Caruso, Madeline Williamson, and Helen Panella.

Private funeral services will be held at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
