Viola Y. DeJoseph, 86, of 401 Winter Rd, New Castle, formerly of Sebastian, FL, died Wednesday morning, October 4, 2006 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born October 30, 1919 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of Carmen and Mary (Ross) Sheldone. Her parents precede her in death. She married Arthur P. DeJoseph on June 4, 1960, he survives in Beaver Falls, PA. Mrs. DeJoseph worked for 13 years at Smith's Cleaners & Dyers in New Castle as a Hat Blocker. She was a companion and care giver for elderly people while she lived in Florida for many years. She enjoyed gardening and yard work and loved reading.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by, 1 son, Ralph ‘Rick’ Leonard and his wife, JoAnn of New Castle, PA, 1 brother, Carmen Sheldone, Jr. of New Castle, PA, 2 sisters, Marie 'Dolly' Tuminella and Joan 'Bubby' Szuba both of New Castle, PA, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Tony Sheldone, Patsy 'Pux' Sheldone, Domenick Sheldone, and Jimmy Sheldone.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday, October 5, 2006 from 5 to 8 pm .
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 6, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ted Saad of Word of Life Independent Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
