Samuel E. Mccormick

Samuel E. McCormick, 65, of US 422, Slippery Rock Twp., died Friday, July 9, 2010 at UMPC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born June 11, 1945 in New Castle, the son of the late Ellsworth and Elsie (Nimmo) McCormick. He was married to Amy (Bintrim) McCormick for 30 years, she survives in Slippery Rock Twp. Mr. McCormick worked in maintenance at Nalco Chemical Company in Ellwood City retiring after 35 years. He was a member of the NRA and was an avid hunter. He also greatly loved the outdoors and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Kolby (Sammatha) Carr, and their son, Braxton Carr of Gulf Breeze, FL, and one sister, Dorothy Bintrim of New Castle.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 12, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp officiated. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
