Dorothy M. Farone

Dorothy M. Farone, 89, of Wilmington Road, New Castle, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Jameson Care Center. She was born May 17, 1921 in Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of the later George Schellenberger and Elizabeth (Catterall) Pandone. She was married to Rev. Canon Frank J. Farone who died in 1996. Mrs. Farone was a homemaker and a member of the Clen-Moore Garden Club, Christian Women’s Club and the Trinity Episcopal Church and Trinity Guild. She enjoyed needle point, cooking, gardening, and was very active in her church.
She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Patricia Farone of Pittsburgh, and Michele Farone of New Castle, two sons, Dr. Frank Farone of New Castle, and Foster Farone of Harrisonburg, VA, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Gallagher.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at Trinity Episcopal Church. Father Dennis A. Blauser of Trinity Episcopal Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Park Cemetery.
