Janet M. Ramsey, 86, of Cambridge Street, Neshannock Twp., died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born November 21, 1923 in Franklin, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Oliver and Harriet (Perrine) Swogger. She was married to Harold P. Ramsey who died on May 16, 1976. Mrs. Ramsey was an aide in the operating room at Jameson Memorial Hospital for many years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word search puzzles.
She is survived by one niece, Audreen and Norman Gwin of Ohio, and a number of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Swogger, and James Swogger, and one sister Gertrude Swogger Yoder.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11:00 pm. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. William McGary and Rev. Don Ault will be officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to the City Rescue Mission or the Humane Society.
