Albert S. Fair, Sr.

Albert S. Fair, Sr., 63, of Gaylord, MI, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at his home in Gaylord, Michigan. He was born June 29, 1947 in New Castle, a son of the late James and Jennie (Scott) Fair. Mr. Fair was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He then was an aircraft mechanic for the next 13 years for the Army retiring with the rank of Sergeant. He then drove truck for several area companies. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping, and was a life member of the AMVETS.

He is survived by two sons, Albert S. Fair, Jr. and Joshua Fair, both of New Castle, one daughter, Tammy L. Knapp of Port Bryron, NY, two brothers, Robert Fair of Gaylord, MI and Nathan Fair of Canton, OH, two sisters, June Fusco of Edinburg, PA, and Luella Pascarella of New Castle, ten grandchildren, and his former wife Darlene (Schuller) Vaughn of New Castle.

He was preceded in death three brothers, Charles, James, and Ralph Fair, and six sisters Donna Ragozzino, Shirley Ann Fair, Mable Pitzer, Marion Koscevic, Dorothy May Jaworski, and Joyce Irene Fair.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in the Savannah Cemetery. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites at the Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
