Stephen Paul Shinsky

Stephen Paul Shinsky, 72, of Hollow Road, Shenango Twp., died Monday, August 2, 2010 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. He was born October 22, 1937 in Ellwood City, the son of the late Stephen and Irene (McKinney) Shinsky. He married Helen Joan (Young) Shinsky on March 26, 1960, she survives in Shenango Twp. Mr. Shinsky was a typesetter and printer retiring after over 40 years at the Ellwood City Ledger. He was an Army veteran serving in Korea. Mr. Shinsky enjoyed hunting and fishing and working on and playing on computers. He was an avid Steelers fan and also enjoyed bowling and golfing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by, three sons, Stephen J. Shinsky, and Scott A. Shinsky, both of New Castle, and Gregory Shinsky and his wife Laura of Deltona, FL, one daughter, Stacy L. Book and her husband John of New Castle, eight grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rayanna Eddinger, and Rosemarie Sitterly.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 8:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating.
