Teresa G. Lucas

Teresa G. Lucas, 83, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of New Castle, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. She was born February 22, 1927 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Cecil and Rose (Turner) DeCaprio. She was married to Andrew Lucas who died July 14, 1987. Mrs. Lucas worked at Shenango China and was a cook at East Wind and Troggios Restaurants for many years. She also worked for Columbus Services at YDC for many years. She was a member of St. Vitus Church and the Ladies Guild and Christian Mothers and was very active at St. Vitus Church prior to moving to Arizona. She was also active in her church St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Arizona and helped raise money for Catalina Foothills High School Football.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Evanoski and her husband John of Tucson, AZ, and Patricia Lucas Jenkins and her husband David of New Castle, and one grandson, Ethan Andrew Evanoski of Tucson, AZ.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Clinton, and Cecil ‘Toots’ DeCaprio.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Vitus Church. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday, August 21, 2010, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Tucson, AZ at 9:00 am celebrated by Mgs. Todd O'Leary.
